Welcome to Salida Union School District After School Programs!
We offer After School Programs at Dena Boer Elementary, Mildred Perkins Elementary, Sisk Elementary, and Salida Elementary for students TK - 5th grade and at Salida Middle School for students 6th - 8th grade. The ASP program is designed as an educational and enrichment program that is an extension of the regular school day. We operate every day school is in session and begin immediately following dismissal (including early dismissal days) until 6:00pm. Each child enrolled will have a designated hour for academics and homework support, be provided with supper and a snack, and participate in enriching recreational activities such as: science, physical education, arts & crafts, developmental and or social practices, as well as extended study hall if needed, on an individual basis.
Enrollment: Enrollment in the After School Program is prioritized pursuant to California Education 8483 (c). Enrollment requires that the application packet must be read and returned fully completed with all appropriate signatures. Any applications received after program is at capacity, will be placed on a waitlist. The After School Program Supervisor will contact parents or guardians when space for their student becomes available.
Attendance: To receive continued funding for the ASES Grant — After School Program or the ASPIRE Middle School Grant, students (grades K-8) must commit to attending the program every day for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Program Fee: There is no fee for the After School Program for the 2023-2024 School Year! However, all students attending must commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week or 3 hours per day.
We look forward to having your student participate in the After School Program!
