COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Salida School District Families:

Many areas in California, including Stanislaus County, are experiencing an expanding outbreak of respiratory illness caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19). To prevent further spread of COVID-19, the Stanislaus County Office of Education, in collaboration with the 25 school districts in the county, and the Stanislaus Public Health Department, is announcing that school closures are extending through May 3, 2020. Students will return to school on May 4.

We recognize the significant impact extending school closure will have on our entire community, students, families, and staff. This is unprecedented. We also recognize the burden this will place on our staff and working families.  This is a challenging time for our community and we are committed to working together in the best interest of our students and staff.  Family Resources have been added to the district website at www.salida.k12.ca.us/covid-19  that address general information about the closures, meals for students, and distance learning.

We will be updating you with more information next week.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to navigate through these times.
