WHAT IS MEASURE Q?
Measure Q, a $16 million general obligation (GO) bond measure, was authorized at an election held on the November 5, 2024, presidential election ballot, will make necessary renovations and improvements to schools and classrooms across the Salida Union School District.

- Repairing and replacing leaky roofs
- Updating emergency communication systems, security cameras and lighting Renovating and modernizing classrooms, libraries, conference rooms and nursing offices
- Updating and modernizing classroom technology
- Providing collaborative learning spaces for robotics, circuitry, 3D printing and sewing
- Rehabilitating aging restrooms
- Providing shade structures and trees to playgrounds and outdoor dining areas
- Expanding spaces for student counseling and mental health services
- Improving safety and controlling unauthorized school entry with fencing, controlled-entry and security systems
- Creating greater accessibility to classrooms, restrooms, walkways and playgrounds in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
